I think my cat Fud just reinvented trigonometry

He just sat there for ten minutes staring into space with an intense look of concentration on his face, then got up, shook his head, and with a very satisfied expression went to get something to eat. I can't think of anything else it could possibly have been...

3. I really don't know what he does

when I'm at work. It'd be a hell of a commute as we're in VA and he hates flying. Why, do you know of a Fud at MS?

4. It is part of Microsoft's strategy against Linux

to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt, or FUD for short. I understand the term was actually coined during the days of IBM's dominance of the business computer market.

Bigger screen, better resolution and graphics, more area over which to chase the mouse arrow.

2. Want to hear something wierd about my cat frodo?

He sleeps curled up in the bathroom sink. He wont sleep anywhere else. Does anyone else cat do anything like that? Note Frodo is my fourth cat all named after the lotr hobbits. It started with sam and merri and snowballed from there.

5. Wow. I can only imagine the potential plumbing bills

if mine did that at the rate that they shed. We have one preoccupied with the magic of faucets, but he just patiently sits there in the big kitchen sink; having yet caught him nodding off on the job. I don't know of any animal as at once regal and absurd as a cat.:)

10. I'd understand if the sink was AMONG the places he slept,

but it being the ONLY place does establish him as, well, a little eccentric, even as cats go...

7. He probably just mentally calculated

that the uncharted orbit of a heretofore undiscovered (by humans) Apollo object will impact the Earth in the very near future and destroy all Human life as we know it giving rise to cats as the dominant specie in a few millenia. His smugness at the realization of this fact will become more apparent as the time of reckoning draws near.


I'm not paranoid, but when all three of them line up and just stare at me it sometimes give me the willies, you know?:scared:

It's not like they can't talk to us without our getting mad. But even though we may be paranoid doesn't in itself mean they're not calculating away...

when they are sitting there staring at me with malicious intent, thinking "My wild ancestors used to eat yours for breakfast. And to think that we only ate the dumb, slow ones."
