Is Tylenol Extra Strength supposed to make you drowsy?
I took two last night for a headache and got really tired, but I figured it was just because it was late. I just took two more about 45 minutes ago for the same headache, and I'm starting to get that "medicine head" feeling. It says nothing on the bottle or box about causing drowsiness, but then I've been known to get drowsy from other meds that are not supposed to make you drowsy, like Sudafed.

Oh, and if I don't make any sense, don't mind me. As I said, I have a little bit of a Tylenol high going on right now. :silly:

1. What are the ingredients?
I don't get tired from regular Tylenol, but I get drowsy when I take Excedrin Migraine. It contains aspirin, acetominophen, and caffeine, and strangely enough, THAT combination makes me drowsy.

2. Hmm.
This does have acetominophen. Maybe that's doing it. I can't find the box now to look up the rest of the ingredients.

3. your headache might have been keeping you awake

4. Well, I fell right asleep last night.
And I didn't start to feel tired until 10-15 minutes after I took the Tylenol this morning.

5. If your relieving a stress headache,
the drowsiness probably comes from the stress being relieved, not the Tylenol ES as such.

6. It could be a stress headache.
How does one tell the difference? I usually can only discern sinus headaches from other headaches because I get them in my nose and forehead.
