2. I hate the Philly airport
Edited on Sun Jul-17-05 01:26 PM by LeftPeopleFinishFirs
My family and I were going somewhere (I forget where). The connecting flight from Philly left two hours late... messing up the people picking us up, dinner reservations, hotel reservations, etc.

So yeah, Pennsylvania sucks :P

48. Pittsburgh's a wonderful place.
I really wish that there was some way that we could get rid of this stereotype that it has. Every single person that I know who's ever visited Pittsburgh has been extremely impressed.

By the way, Pittsburgh is very blue. (Its suburbs are a different story.)

Please visit Pittsburgh sometime -- I think that you'd be impressed.

or at least the parts of it I've seen, which are probably the nice parts. But the first thing I noticed when I got off the plane was there are lots of big people, so I didn't feel like a giant. (I'm 6'1".) I also like the Pittsburghians (Pittsburghers?) I've met, and not just because they're big.

OK, killed is a little strong, but I have one helluva welt on my leg.

Close your eyes, breathe deep - ohm, ohm.

Not working? Has the person beside you been annoying enought to hit or perhaps 'accidentally' trip?

BTW Will, I know you had a lot to drink last night, so I can see how you made this terrible error - you don't live in Philly. Boston is the place you want to be. Bummer dude.

31. My last experience with the Philly airport
caused me to miss a connecting flight and have to spend the night in Charlotte NC. Another time a massive delay kept my poor little dog stuck under an airplane for 8 hours (it was only supposed to be a 2 hour flight). and those were the more notable delays, the time spent waiting for flights out of that hell hole have literally cost me days of my life that I will never get back

...and now you are trapped in a flying aluminum Tube of Stagnation.

One possibly built right here, in beautiful Seattle and surrounds, if you selected the correct brand of aeroplane to be trapped aboard.

Sad, Will, very sad.

You should have stayed here.

Now you understand the true meaning of "poor choices".

Who in their right mind leaves Seattle on a beautiful July day when the temperature is 74 degrees and the clouds are puffy, white and rare?

46. On behalf of Pennsylvania, I apologize for your airport problems here.
I'm in Florida right now, so I didn't hear that the Pittsburgh airport was closed on Friday or what the problem was. Please come back when you can enjoy our beautiful city. The RNC is holding their annual hate fest here soon (because they feel sorry for poor Ricky Santorum). Come and help us protest!

As for sitting on the runway for 2 hours in Philly, well that just bites the big one. I wonder what the problem is. That happened to me one time in Orlando. I almost roasted to death.

I don't know what airline you're flying on, but I have been avoiding US Air lately. I flew South West to Orlando, and was well pleased with it. It was a brand new 737, only 6 days old. It even smelled new, something I never experienced on a plane before!

77. I was in F. I flew into C (I think) and ran
(and bussed) over to F to see the plane had left 5 minutes before I got there (and it was 10 minutes late leaving).

80. I wasn't stuck on a runway - I was stuck in the Denver airport.

This was a couple weeks ago. My first fight was supposed to go thru Detroit, but my flight was delayed, due to land when my connection was taking off. I got another flight with a 1:15 hour layover in Philly, which turned into a 75 minute delay in Denver - thereby suffering the same fate as I would have in Detroit.

Now, the question is - which airport is better to spend the night in - Detroit or Philly?

:D

I landed in Philly at 10:55 and got a 6:20 flight out in the morning.
I spent from 2:00 to 5:00 in Denver the day before.

70. Well, then blame Philadelphia and Pittsburgh!
Those two cities suck anyway- there's nothing the rest of us had to do with it!
