1. No food and oxygen are pretty important. But self love is almost
as important.

2. No. You really only need money.
Edited on Sun Jul-17-05 07:26 PM by tjdee
You can pretty much buy everything else you "need".

I find the richer/more financially secure someone is, the more likely they are to disagree with me, though.

3. Easy for them to say. They can afford to take it for granted.

7. Yup. But love sure blunts the blow though.
I'd feel much better about being broke, and a lot of other things, if I had a lovey dovey thing happening.

Ah well.

6. All you need? No. But...
It makes not having many other things you want (not absolutely need) a LOT more bearable! Love, food, shelter, and sleep is a good start!

8. Love is all there is -
Love is more than love of oneself and others, it is doing and being "in and with love". If you love yourself, your work, and your family; you still need to work on loving your neighbor AND your enemy.
If you are keeping up with the Joneses, you are coveting. If you are bearing false witness about an enemy, or a friend, you are sinning.

Miracles come from love, every thing else comes from fear.

10. of course not
it's a song. a frigging song.

you don't need love. love doesn't need you. on the hierarchy of shit you need, love is probably not in the top 1000.

11. I thought I had love, but love wanted more money
now I'm earning more money but I have to send so much of it to my ex-love that I can't afford to entertain a new love.

If I had more money love would beat a path to my door. All in all I should have avoided love and chased money. Then I would have love.

p.s. the reason chocolate is a substitute for love is because both are so bitter without a lot of added sugar.

13. SOUL is all we need. Everything worthy in life stems from it.
Don't mention the "M" word, that was created by Satan himself.

14. love, hate, anger, etc...
are simply emotions. If you are talking about romantic love(a/k/a lust)...that is always fleeting as any married person could tell you. Love from family, friends and most importantly yourself is what helps us grow as humans. Giving love is a hell of a lot easier than getting it.

17. You need love (not necessarily romantic love)
Hesistant to say that it is all you need because there are alot of practical things that one "needs", but you really do need love and not necessarily romantic love.

IMO, love comes in many forms..love for your family/friends/if you have a religion, love for what you do, love living.. :)
