7. Old KISS Army members never die...
They just grow up and get better musical taste

Seriously, though, I saw KISS back on the "last" make-up tour in 1982. Ace Frehley was still in the band, but Vinnie Vincent was the tour guitarist.

Even without Ace, the show was still pretty kickass-- at least to this 13-year-old! The stage set was a giant tank, with Eric Carr's drums mounted on the turret. At the end of the show, the turret would turn and the cannon would go off, and then a speaker cabinet up in the rafters would blow open and sparks would fly out.

Yeah, they're cheezy as hell, but they could put on a hell of a show!

24. I saw that show too
It was the Creatures of the Night Tour and I was also 13. KISS was not as much about the music as it was about the whole live theater show experience. Much like Alice Cooper.

and yes I was a card carrying KISS Army member. I had tons of records, cassettes, 8-Tracks, posters, jersey & iron-on shirts, 16 Magazine issues, & the makeup kit.

3. I always thought there should be a "Queen Army", and that they should...
...fight the Kiss Army.

Ever notice that no other bands have an army but Kiss?

As a progressive, I abhor an imbalance of power.

6. Still, you can bet they're alligned.
That's like saying "England has an army". I mean, yeah, they do, but they only do what the US Army tells them to do.

10. Kinda off topic
Edited on Sun Jul-17-05 10:03 PM by SouthoftheBorderPaul
but I always thought Dick Army would be a good band name. You know, like the former Republican Majority Leader, except without the "e."

The band could be totally depraved. I'm sure he'd love it.

Edit: Spelling.

12. What's off topic about that?
As a matter of fact, not only is it not off-topic, but it's possibly the best idea I've ever read.

See, in comedy, we have this thing called "restraint".

Now I'm going to be plagued with nightmares for months.

in the spirit world. This is a just a peak at the afterlife that awaits us.

I'll spare you the female equivalent of the same costume. :D

9. I was driving through Houston last week and saw a KISS sticker
On a minivan's back window. It was a big KISS die-cut sticker, too. The lameness was overwhelming.

14. Hell yes
"Deuce", "Strutter", "Black Diamond"... those were some good tunes! I make no apologies I was a big KISS fan back in the day. After Bob Ezrin's masterful production of "Destroyer", it got kind of shaky, but what the hey. I had my tennis racket and 12 year old energy!

19. Can you avoid the Draft if you volunteer in the Kiss Army?
That would make sense.

That is, if anyone currently of draft age likes Kiss.

23. The Tool Army makes more sense
We old Kiss Army fogeys can back them up with a barrage of cheesy pyrotechnics, or something.
