2. It came some time ago for me.
It's cheaper, it tastes better, and you control the alcohol content.
And it's fun.

3. My Grandfather stopped drinking beer...
30 yrs. ago because "there are too many chemicals in the beer".
He passed away a few years back. I think he would have enjoyed micro brew.

He may have lived longer if he hadn't drank those chemicals.

Start home brewing ASAP. You'll live longer.

5. Start with a good book

I can recommend the book the Complete Handbook of Home Brewing by Dave Miller to get you started. And a bit of advice that you should take to heart Cleanliness is next to Godliness unless you like beer that tastes like band-aids. Yuck!!!

I brewed a lot of fine beer in my days, but it was always clean, clean, clean!!!! I'll stick with my very forgiving homemade wine, thank you very much! Good luck in any event.

7. First thing I thought was biodiesel as well.
I am giving it very strong consideration. There are several Asian restaurants near me whose used cooking oil would be ideal for it.
