Any cool or weird nicknames when you were growing up?
From junior high on, I was known as "Merv the Perv" because... well... you know. For my 16th birthday, my friends even got me a beret with the nickname embroidered on it.

3. When I was a teenager
my best friend's brother called me "Ichabod" cos I was tall and really skinny. In fact, he still calls me that today on occasion.
I am still just as tall as I was then, but not nearly so skinny. :)

4. The Most Hated Nickname was "Johnnie"
which my parents and relatives used.

Friends often called me "Neef" (from Neefus, my last name).

In business school, I got the name "Cocktail Jack" (or eventually just "CJ") from attending evening classes after having a beer with dinner.

Nothing that would compare with "Merv the Perv," however.

6. When I was younger
Bat-Muscles because I liked Batman when I was younger.

From middle school on, my last name gave rise to a number of nicknames including Whiskey, Whiskers, Whisker-Biscuit, Biscuit, Bisquick, Triscuit, Whiskey River Don't You Ever Run Dry, Whiskey Rebellion, etc.

7. I knew a kid named "Skidder"
but the origins of the nick are kind of gross.

In 6th grade, we were going to some winter survival camp for school, and were unpacking our clothes in our cabin. Unfortunately for this kid, somebody noticed he had skid marks on his BVDs.

Hence the nickname "Skidder". :P

This nickname followed him all through 6th grade, and on to junior high and high school. After a while, even the teachers called him this-- although most people never knew the origin of the nickname.
