The film "Where Eagles Dare" with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood is another example of this. Burton and Eastwood's characters pass themselves off as German soldiers at one point. They're in a German military base...where, yep...the German soldiers speak English to each other...with German accents. Ridiculously moronic.

(like in Hunt for Red October - they actually started speaking Russian - but they zoomed it and it changed to English until English-speakers were around)
