I've got three hot chicks.

A robin built her nest in a hanging planter on the face of our garage, just next to the big garage door.

I noticed 3 eggs in the nest a few days ago. Today there are 3 robin chicks in the nest. It's the darnedest thing. The nest is only about 6 feet off of the ground.

Tomorrow, 80's are expected for a high, so maybe the chicks won't be so hot. I hope.

Definitely do NOT touch the nest. Or go near it. That might freak the parents out and abandon the nest.

2. We just had Eastern Bluebirds to fledge last Saturday.

I only got to see one fly down from the house which is really high off the ground. Probably 10-12 feet.

3. I don't think that's possible.

Everytime the garage door goes up and down, so that a car can pull in or out, momma flies away. But she always comes back.

And the nest is facing the back of our house by our patio. She couldn't have picked a busier spot on our property to build her nest.

Guess she's probably a city bird.
