I have a book for you, too, about our mutual hero Hunter Thompson. I believe it's out of print, but it's a bio from the early 90s that was written with the cooperation of just about everybody close to HST, except for the man himself. Unfortunatly I can't remember the title, though. :(

So the format of the book you're talking about sounds a lot like "Edie-An American Biography". That is so cool, especially if you put them together. I would really like to hear other people's stories about him.
