I was summoned to meet with George W. Bush.
Entering his office, I stood by the door, waiting. I noticed that someone was at a desk behind a wall. W was on my right, the wall was to my left. Never saw that person.
Anyway, as could be expected, W left me waiting for a long time. He was not doing anything other than looking over some papers.
After quite some time, he motioned that I could come and sit down.
At this point, I realize that we are in Tokyo. (Believe me, I've had weirder logic problems in dreams.)
Bush starts up the conversation and asks me what I feel was the biggest failing of Tokyo (something like that - what was the biggest problem, whatever).
I did have an intelligent response. (Please note, I would not normally use Dave Barry as a reliable resource, but the dream drew upon reading "Dave Barry in Japan"). In good, conversational tones, I explained that the biggest problem that Tokyo had was that they had poor city planning (construction of buildings, layout). (This was pointed out in Dave Barry's book - ancient temple next to skyscraper next to factory next to supermarket next to cemetery etc. - and buildings are numbered).
So, the conversation went on and on. Bush was very cordial and interested in my viewpoints.
I forget where the dream left off.
But here's what puzzled me about the dream.
I normally feel that I have no animosity over George W. Bush as a person. I disagree with most of what he says and does, but I am not a person who would go out and shoot him.
But, as much as I rant about his failings and policies (ask Mrs. ZBDent), I found it interesting that my SUBCONSCIOUS would make him into such a personable guy. That was the "weird" part.
I mean, isn't your subconscious supposed to be where your true feelings and instincts rear their ugly head? I would have expected that it would have made him into a tyrant, an evil caricature of the personality.
I just thought I'd share that odd dream with the DUers. Please don't judge me harshly for not having horns and a tail on him in the dream.
