2. Yes, but my favorite character is not Monk, but Captain Stottlemeyer.

Ted Levine is a terrific actor. He somehow has to convey in every episode his incredible respect and affection for Adrian Monk, and his exasperation, as well, without it getting old or cliched. He makes it work every week.

4. Last Friday's episode with Jesus was great!
I mean John Turrturo of course as Monk's brother.

I have the first three seasons of the show on DVD, so yeah, that counts!

5. It's not the same without Sharona.
:( I do not like the new person and have lost interest in the show.

6. Not anymore

The chemistry between Shalub and Bitty Schram is what gave Monk its reason for being. Ironically, the show will probably end up spending more money on guest stars like John Turturo and Jason Alexander than they wanted to pay Bitty.

8. I LOVE MONK!
It's the only drama-type show I make a point of watching. When they do the Monk marathon I tape all of them.

But what happened to Sharona? I missed that one.

9. A salary dispute, unfortunately.
I would have paid her what she wanted--after three seasons, she earned it. Now the show is going to have to rely on "stealth casting" like Jason Alexander to hold on to their non-hardcore viewers.

10. I figured it was something like that.
Monk's new nurse is so BLAND, she adds nothing.

12. I loved it until they stupidly lost Sharona.
Since then - it may not have jumped the shark, but it's revving the engine and heading toward the tank.
