I am listed 5 times. They have my parents address, where I lived as a child and my current address AND phone. But my address is listed incorrectly.

There is also someone using my name in Kennett, MO.

It's something I should know.

What happened is my friend and his wife owned an internet-based used car brokerage out of their home in Florida, and it seems a person looking to buy a car gunned both of them down in cold blood and took off with the car and the title. This happened in January.

The killer in custody now, and they're looking to hit him with the death penalty. While I'm indifferent toward the death penalty, it kinda makes you think when someone close to you is murdered in that grisly kind of fashion.

We were best friends in high school (we even double-dated for prom). After graduation, he moved to Florida, where he became a hardcore born-again Christian, in itself not a bad thing. He took it to the extreme, though, and kind of alienated everyone. Last time I saw him was back in 1990 or so.

At first, when I saw the news stories, I didn't believe it was him. Then I went to his company's website, and to a few news sources and sure enough...

Needless to say, he and his family will be in my prayers tonight, and I don't pray very often.
