My new puppy loves beer.
I knocked one over and he licked it all up while I was running to get something to clean it with. Now he's begging for more -- and he has a devious smile on his face.

1. Seriously, don't let him have it.
He could very easily get alcohol poisoning. How much does he weigh?

5. I know. He gets into everything.
But he's so adorable, I can't get mad.

3. You and us
Okay, I poured a bowl of beer for my innocent puppy. Now the poor dog is staggering and then hung-over the next day. I hope my dear "ginny" forgives me although she got over it and lived a full life. I think she gained a appreciation of us humans, as like when I was triping on acid, and the dog walked up to me and put her paws on my lap. Quite the rainbow.

8. This is an actual story of a Basset Hound who drank a Heineken every day.
It was told to me by a very long term employee of a kennel in South Dade, Miami. I was boarding my own very large Basset Hound male, who weighed close to 90 lbs and she recalled to me that years earlier a yacht owner had long-term boarded an elderly Basset who was retired from his yacht. But, he wanted this Basset served a Heineken beer daily at cocktail hour. He prepaid for this dog's happy hour every month, and this was an actual routine that this Basset had expectations for. ( Anyone who has or had a Basset knows how stubborn they are and comfortable w/ their routines) One day, the nearby store where they bought the daily brew was out of Heineken, so a substitute was served. Do you know that the old dog knew the difference? He laid out the most woeful bays and howls for a long time that it made the workers there make arrangements to drive out to find his daily shot. An amazing story, but, if you ever have been "owned" by a Basset, you know how credible this can be.
