I knew Hollywood was low on ideas, but now they're really scraping!
Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell in a "Miami Vice" remake????

I was a big fan of the show when i was coming up in the 80s, and even I won't go anywhere near this trainwreck in the making....has anyone kept a count (official or unofficial) on how many big-budget movies were made based on a

1. Kitschy nostalgic TV show
2. Popular novel-of-the-moment that EVERYONE has read except you
3. Cartoon/comic book
4. Previous version of the movie/low-budget foreign-indie movie...

in the last 3-4 years alone, that number must be creeping towards 50 or more...and how many more can we expect in the future?? Is there a single original thought in the TV and movie studios anymore?

here's the story i read about the Miami Vice remake:

1. who approves these movies?
I saw a preview for Duece Bigalow Male Jigalow 2 tonight. I felt insulted just having been in the theater.

2. And there are thousands of novels written every year
You'd think there would be dozens of great original ideas, and the best Hollywood can come up with is a sequal to a crappy movie.

for Stealth, the Island and this Disney piece of shit, sky high.....

It was like being inside a video game for christ sake.....

A bad video game......

The actors in these movies mean absolutely nothing, interchangable part......
