Well, after a 4 month hiatus...

Ok, I admit...I got sick of politics. Apart from reading DU's front page, I have stayed away from the forums (to a point where it took me good 10 minutes to figure out how to open this discussion)...my other source of news has been bartcop.com and eschaton.

Been gone for about 4 months, since then my company outsourced most of my work to Argentina, I spent lovely 2 weeks in Buenos Aires training, then kind of lucked out and got promoted, while many people got shafted :)
Now working 40 hours a day, so that's lovely...but in the comfort of my own home, so not too bad...still living in Queens, New York, although the city is slowly melting, I think...this heat and humidy sucks!

yeah, i needed my fix...stayed away, but finally came back, missed DU too much..

so how are you? as i've mentioned, got a promotion from IBM out of this whole outsourcing deal (which is not going well at all, hence working crazy hours, trying to keep things together).

my sister, in an attempt to completely outdo me, on top of being engaged, is now buying a house with her fiance, so she'll be a home owner before me too
