and if Cale might have the good taste to return to the "Sabotage" era.

on edit: Oh!

The New York Dolls are to release an all-new studio album in 2006, soundgenerator can report.

The seminal punk rock act are due to head into the studio shortly to record a new album, which will be released by hard rock label Roadrunner in spring of 2006. Although the band, which formed in 1972, lost original bassist Arthur Kane last year to complications resulting from leukaemia , original bandmembers David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain are still with the group, which also includes Steve Conte (guitar), Sami Yaffa (bass), Brian Delaney (drums) and Brian Koonin (Keyboards). Comments Johansen, "We know that we're right where we're supposed to be."

it was pretty packed though and the sound wasnt all that great. It was worth the extra $20 to see them 2 nights later at the El Rey
