Why do some people worry about how many responses they get?

27. I like getting a reply because sometimes

we continue with an interesting "conversation". Most of the people who reply are very interesting and informative. However, once in a while there will be some one who as "gotten up on the wrong side of the bed" and tries to demean or twist something stated that was not meant that way. They apparently get something out of doing this, but I don't know what it is. I guess some people just want to argue.:shrug:

I like having discussions-- arguments, if you will. I like to test my ideas against the prevailing wisdom, and maybe learn something.

But I can't do that by myself. Therefore, I'm happier when somebody answers me.
