A couple things I've noticed studying insurance policies/applications
- I'm not eligible for some of the products I sell (probably). Some of our products aren't eligible for purchace by people who are obese. I'm 5'8" 240 lbs, and though I don't have the charts in front of me, I'm sure I don't qualify.

- If filing for joint insurance with survivability (two people enter into a policy and if the 1st person dies, the 2nd is still covered), married couples get a 20% discount in 47 states, 15% in some, but two unmarried people who have lived together for at least 5 years get a 10% discount. There is no mention of gender, and though its unequal to full discount, its nice to see that gay/lesbian couples still qualify for a discount.

- Alot of the trashing of the insurance industry doesn't make sense to me. Yes, there are some cases where the policy doesn't pay off, but they're pretty limited to already existing coverages, claims that involve the commission of a felony, and other things that make sense.

Not that any of you would really care, I just figured I'd share something. I need a study break. :P
