So I put my resume up on HotJobs
and all of a sudden I get activity. Dice and Monster have nothing, but now I am seeing telecommuting tech jobs in my field pop up.

I applied to one in California. I am in Pittsburgh PA. It said in the posting "within 1 hour of West LA preferred, but not required."

I had an interview today that can only be described as a Seinfeld episode. I am sure if I have a second one, George, Kramer, and Mr. Costanza will be there.

It actually went well, so here is hoping...

I have another interview today. This guy calls me yesterday and asks me if I am actively looking. He says he needs an Oracle guru. I told him I don;t have any experience with Oracle, but I am self taught in everything else and am a fast learner. He says he may have another way to fit me into the company so can I come in to meet with him.

I looked up the company, and found I was talking with the CEO. Might be encouraging since this is a decent sized company.

Hoping to be drinking champagne next week...

1. Hotjobs worked for me
I too am in Pittsburgh and it recently helped me land a job around here paying a good chunk more than my old one.

Good luck to you!

2. Good to hear!
The Pittsburgh market sucks and Dice and Monster are worthless.

Glad something works B-)

The one I interviewed for this morning would put me in a senior management position. They are very interested as am I, but we need to hammer out a timeframe. It would get me out of coding 100% of the time.

The one I have in an hour is I think more coding and software architecture

Either way, getting paid the full salary I am supposed to get on time is a nice thing.
