Once again the amatuer pitching staff of the Texas Strangers is unable to compete with the far more polished Oakland pitching staff.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Nick Swisher drove in three runs and scored another, and Jay Payton hit a slow chopper through the left side of the infield for the go-ahead run in the eighth inning, sending the Oakland Athletics past the Texas Rangers 6-4 Thursday night.

Oakland overcame an early 3-0 deficit against Kenny Rogers -- who might've been making his last start for a while -- to win for the 19th time in 24 games. This was the fourth time the A's beat the Rangers in five meetings since the All-Star break.

Oakland's run took them past Texas for second place in the AL West on Wednesday night. This win solidified the Athletics' spot in the standings and improved them to 12-5 in their last 17 road games, which is significant because they were 1-16 in their previous 17 road games

I saw Rogers giving the cameraman a bunch of s#it when he was being booked.

There was a huge woman between the two of them.

Rogers needs to be checked for steroids, and then bitch-slapped for good measure!
