An idea for video game enthusiasts and Microsoft haters alike!
Edited on Fri Jul-22-05 10:59 AM by youspeakmylanguage
I was thinking about how much I despise Microsoft, and then a thought occurred to me - a plan to screw Microsoft out of money that is COMPLETELY LEGAL!

Apparently, console video game makers lose money on the consoles themselves. They sell them at a loss and then regain their money (and turn a handsome profit) when the new console owner buys accessories and games.

So, in order to royally screw Microsoft, purchase an Xbox brand new and then purchase all the accessories and games you want used off of eBay or at your local boutique. As long as you make sure to purchase anything Xbox related used, they'll never regain their initial loss when you purchased the Xbox. Of course, you'll also be screwing the game makers themselves, but hey, they shouldn't be doing business with the devil in the first place.

Interesting, eh? At least you can even the score if you've ever paid a ridiculous amount of money for one of their products or services.

1. Yes, but then I'm stuck with an x-box, as well as...
the, mostly, crappy games that run on it. (I've heard HALO rocks, but I refuse to give them any of my $)

2. You can get HALO on the PC
So why bother with the X-box?

3. There are a lot of good games...
...mostly ports from other systems. As long as you buy the games used, you won't be giving Microshaft a dime.

7. I've never owned a console, but Sony's demo @ E3
has me salivating. The processing power and graphics look like a whole new paradigm.:bounce:
