My partner has a hearing disability, so we use closed captioning. According to MTV2, it's "We don't live in a fascist nation". I think he's being sarcastic.

It's a great song, isn't it? One local radio station is bringing them here for a concert. Their ad for the concert is hilarious- it's the lead singer for SOAD ordering coffee at a Starbucks, but singing it in his style with the band backing him. At the end the waitress says "Maybe you should make that a decaf" and he goes "OKAY!"

I guess you have to hear it to really appreciate it.
