The company that I interviewed for last week had to have a hiring freeze. They thought they could have one more employee, but it turns out that they won't be able to. Had it not been for this, the job would have been mine. The HR Manager said this.

This is the second time a hiring freeze has affected me. I am just fucking beyond depressed right now. At least this time, I didn't start the fucking job and work for two days for this to be revealed.

Over here in Sonoma County there's still a hiring freeze with layoffs left and right. Housing prices are too high and no one can afford to buy a house. The rent? Way out of line. The towns are afraid to hire anyone. This damn war, gas prices, lies from the WH, are scaring everyone and the economy takes a nose dive. I'd like a job that pays more even though I usually like what I do at work, but my resumes go down the dark hole. My mate can't get a job, no vacation in 3 years, food co-ops, can't afford daycare, down to one car and we live in the country so no bus service, and that's the way it is July 22, 2005.
