12. "You gotta be fucking KIDDING..."

This line is well remembered but not entirely GOT, as it is later revealed but often ignored that the pot-head eyeballing the spider-head is IN FACT another THING and is commenting out of professional respect...

15. How dou we know he was a Thing at that point?
Does he not leave anyone's sight between then and when he's revealed to be a Thing?

17. No, he doesn't!

He's the one who starts Thinging out while tied to the couch! It's all part of the same scene in the couch room! There's not time for him to be assimilated between the spider head and the couch... He's a THING!

26. I have to clarify that I like the concept of the monster but not the movie
The short story by Clive Barker is wonderful and so is the concept of the monster. It's one of my favorite Clive Barker stories. It starts in ancient Ireland and is about a bloodthirsty pagan demon that ravaged the countryside and that was finally captured and buried in a deep hole in a farmer's field and covered by a giant rock. Cut several centuries later to the modern day and when a farmer plowing his field decides to remove a big rock from the middle of his field he again releases the pagan demon on the Irish countryside.

The movie is low budget and unfortunately Clive Barker didn't write the screenplay.
