Sweltering for days and now a kind break.
But this is SoCal and the heat will return.

1. 85* here in South Bay. SoCal

looks like it might drop 5* for the work week.

in another couple of months, I'll be whining about the 'cold' though.

somebody at work commented that i'd finally stopped wearing turtlenecks, lol.

2. It was cooler last night...
and today doesn't seem so bad. We still are looking for cooler days, which I hope will be here soon!

But you're right, maveric, this is SoCal, and the heat will return. It's our legacy!

9. Thanks, maveric, I'm OK...just OK...
I must have gotten spoiled earlier this week when I was getting a lot of responses to my posts...I'm just an attention hog, I guess...You're asking me how I am just made my day! I hope all is well with you! And your boys as well...Did your 19 year old start that awful job yet?

I sure do know the cycle, maveric!

:hi:

10. He stars Monday. He got some good news though.
His crew is not cleaning tanks. Only machinery in the engine rooms of aircraft carriers. He'll be in an open space where the safety features are more readily available.
I feel better about that.

3. I'm jealous.
It must have been 95+ for over a week here. My Irish blood is not meant for this heat.

Average winter temperature here is in the high teens and since global warming we hardly ever go below zero. This is the new banana belt, I tell ya.
