Thunderstorm's-a-comin'
I am feeling woofish... a bit edgy... a bit hungry... I smell rain. I am poised for nature to unleash the fury of her lightning. Monsoon season commences.

Tread cautiously around me today. Thunder is rolling across the high desert plateau of northern Arizona... the ancient Anasazis' goodbye gift to me my last Saturday at seven thousand feet, in the shadow of their forgotten homeland. Dance with the Kokopelli, for he knows...

The Navajos knew it, the Hopis knew it. The mountains have medicine. The coyote calls for me to return to California. Arizona has been a good host, but I fear I overstay my welcome.

Soon, I will be home, and the coyote will sleep under the full moon, by the Grand Canyon, tired from howling, hungry, and in need of restoration.

Soon.

22. Hell yes!
Yeah, this area is fairly conservative, but not nutso we-will-kill-you-if-you-don't-think-Bush-is-the-Messiah crazy.

And the pay is great. Benefits kick ass. Apartment is a palace compared to where we used to live.

The schedule rules. We would love to visit! :hi:

Same to you guys-check us out if you're there.

2. Thunder is rolling across the high plateaus of Zomby
The frightened natives take cover under the bushes and rend their clothes and gnash their teeth at the coming of the wolf.

12. No Problems...
For a mere $2500.00 I can sell you a hexagonal water-making machine that perfectly aligns the molecules of ordinary tap water. If you drink the treated haxagonal aligned water, it will cure all that ails ya.

19. I am sorry sweetie
:-(

As a lifelong insomniac, I can try offering empathy.

My mom uses this sleep aid her doctor recommended to her, uses the amino acid found in turkey and milk which induces sleep. It's natural and harmless. I cannot recall the name it is marketed with, or if it requires a prescription. If you can find out, see if it will help.

20. Tryptophane, I think.
I'll run to the store and get some sliced turkey and make myself a little cracker sammich at bedtime.

I get plenty sleepy, just can't make the leep from drowsy to slumber. Brat went and slept on the sofa last night!

21. yeah!
I remember the name of the amino acid, but am not sure if it is sold under that name.

A turkey sub makes me drowsy! I hope it helps.

Poor Brat!

24. Here, too. Here being Las Vegas, NV
We've been having thunderstorms - beautiful, bright, enervating thunderstorms - the lightning bright and over the neighborhood.

118 degree F temps most of last week - yeah, but it was a dry heat - sucked the moisture right out of your body as you walked out the door.

I awoke this morning to soft rain, 75 degrees F, the sound of rain softly hitting the leaves on my neighbors trees and the smell of green everywhere. 97% humidity and this native desert rat is in heaven.

*sigh*
