Waaaaaa: Why don't women like gay guys?
I mean, gay guys won't proposition them for sex or rape them. We don't cheat on them. We respect them as people with no underlying self-interest.

Instead they all think we're depriving them of their own needs or not making children to keep our amply populated planet that much more ample, or because some ancient big blue book of fairy stories says we're sinners who deserve to be killed even though killing is one of the 10 ultimate sins...

Yeah, that's a generalization too. It seems I can't escape making them either.

26. Not messin'. Maybe a generalization but my past reminds me of itself...
I recall going to a bar in 2001 and this truck full of women took great in calling me, amongst other things, a "fag". (though these days they'd probably stop the truck, get out, and beat the shit out of me...)

In 1989, a fellow student during a summer holiday trip to Spain had lunged at me and also spat out a few choice words, some of them obviously homophobic in nature. Maybe she was drunk, though it was but 4PM... Fortunately the hair she took from my scalp grew back.

I think women can tell if a guy is gay. That's not good because of the dogmatic nonsense being pumped into peoples' brains. Given the emboldened actions of many today... To date I have 3 lady friends, 12 ladies who'd name-call or kill me given a chance and solely because I'm a sausage snorkeler, and I've yet to find one who'd be more interested in converting me to heterosexuality. But at least I now know why all the chicks in dance class had gross-out looks on their faces when they had to pair up with me... :7

(or at least the whiney version of nice guys)

4. I work with
gay men and women. My best male friend is gay. He's my best friend because he's there for me, listens and knows when to crack down on me for the stupid stuff I might say and do. Mostly he's my best friend because he loves me unconditionally as I do him, not because he's gay.

:hi:

don't know if that makes sense or not but .. oh well :)

Women all over love gay men.

I was forlornly in like/love with a gay guy in college briefly....and it actually made me happy he was gay, because there was no danger of him dating some stupid chicky girl. He had good taste in men, too. He was very patient with my pointless adoration, LOL, was funny, charming, good looking, and a good friend.

Sigh... :loveya:

31. Aw, I love gay men who are patient with our pointless adoration.
I've had a lot of pointless adoration of gay men over the years, and it helps when they understand and can still be your friend.

Or very metro. That could have been a big hint to me that I was a bi gal at a younger age. Some things just really take a long time to realize..lol.

9. I really really like gay men. Most of the gay men I have known
have been well read, witty, gossipy, great cooks and lovers of good food (every good cook's dream), and altogether wonderful to be with.

10. not too stereotype
But its true a gay man can be a woman's best friend. A guy who'll go shopping with you and tell you honestly if you look like crap in whatever you're trying on. Invaluable.

12. Au contraire, Pierre. Some of my favorite companions just happen to be
gay. I love their attitude and their comments. There's nothing like a bitchy remark from a gay friend. They say things I would not dare say myself. And loyalty and support are always present.

13. I always remember Sex and the City...
where Carrie and Stanford are talking about getting married so he could get his inheritance, and he's all "C'mon, who else is going to keep you in fabulous shoes, love to go shopping, and encourage you to cheat?" I've always loved that. :)

But seriously, all of my friends are straight, and 95% of those are women...so they definitely like gay guys. (and yes, I know your post was in jest)

16. You don't know the right women
Most women I know love gay guys. We are the ultimate best friend... we're not competing with them like their girlfriends and we aren't trying to get into their panties like straight guys. We're safe, fun and have no ulterior motives....

Khash.

21. I do find that's true for heterosexual women who are insecure about their
femininity or their relationship with their boyfriends/sig. others.

Many women seem to "want you to want me." Only, it's more than a want, it's a need, and to deny them that satisfaction brings out the claws. Or to admire their boyfriends, ditto.

I was having a discussion about some issue, and another person said something that implied that women have some kind of right to be considered attractive, and it occurred to me that this is a commonly-held notion, and that gay men - not generally being sexually aroused by females - frustrate a woman's "right" to be considered attractive.

Never mind that I love Penelope Cruz and Pamela Anderson and think they are gorgeous - that fact that I'm gay is itself a kind of punishable offense.

24. I LOVE GAY GUYS!
I have to admit that when I was 20 or so I couldn't stand it when men didn't act like I was Miss Thang. If men weren't "after" me in some way, I didn't know how to relate. But NOW I appreciate gay guys, and I love 'em!

29. Women love gay guys.
In my experience, anyway. They are great friends.

Interestingly enough, the last 4 or 5 guys I was attracted enough to consider them potential "dating" material all turned out to be gay; I felt safe with them.

30. Honey, I've been a total fag hag since I was in third grade.
I've always gravitated to gay men. My first boyfriend turned out to be gay. There have been a few of them since then whom I'm STILL not quite sure about.

I dunno what women you've been hanging around, but all my female friends love gay guys, too! Come over to our neck of the woods -- we'll treat you right!
