Once I dreamed I was in a village among trees where the houses were on stilts and all connected to each other. Through a window that had a shutter but not a glass, I saw that one of these houses had very weathered and split French antiques. There was a building not far from the houses that seemed like a small silo, with a conical, peaked roof and a deep ditch all around it. The ditch had spiderwebs in it, and either it had a bright, colorful, poisonous spider in it or I was looking to see if it did. I had to go down in the ditch for some reason. I woke up with words in my mind that I didn't have meanings for, and tried to write them down, but didn't really know how to spell them.
Another time I dreamed I was walking down a long raised road between flat fields. Behind me were mountains somewhere, and way down the road were tall trees. I was going to the trees, and in it were some houses, a little town or something. There were other people with me - I knew them in the dream, but all I could remember about them when I woke up was that they were mountain people. Coming the opposite way up the road came a small group of folks, one of whom was a beautiful woman in wide-legged blue pants and a broad brimmed hat. She really stood out in my mind. There was also a man who left their group and came up to me, to tell me that we couldn't go that way to the town. He was wearing most of a Chinese army uniform, but it didn't fit him well. This man was very excited. I don't think that the language we were speaking was his native language, or mine either. One thing I still remember that he kept saying sounded like sha, sha or an abbreviated sure, sure. It seemed an odd verbal tic, and there were a lot of words he would use twice. I tried to write down what he said when I woke up also, but didn't know how to spell any of it.
