My version of "Love Letters"
Here is a version I did of "Love Letters". I hope the mp3 works. It's just me singing to another track.

3. No, it's good
it's got sort of an old-school feeling. it's probably the song, but your voice goes well with it.

7. "The first time David and I worked together we did a song called
"Love Letters"..."

:D

Cool! Nice version of it, dude!

Elvis loved the song enough to record it in '66, rerecord it in '70, and pay special care in singing it when he added it to his live repertoire near the end. Is that the stripped-down backing track to Elvis' version? If not, it's about as close as any human band could ever get to it.

You did a great job...

8. Umm
You weren't supposed to hear that. Out of all the Duers to hear it, you weren't the one I was hopin' for. Too close to it all..you know?
I love that song though. I used to do it on piano, but it's been a while.
Anyway, I got to that bit torrent and downloaded all 50 Elvis albums..LOL. I just wanted to see if I could do it.
Don't be a stranger, in your home town..if ya know what I mean. Give me a buzz. You got my number, and know my name.

9. I show up at the most inconvenient times and places. It's a gift.
:D

I know your name, look up the number....

Thusly accomplishing the enviable feat of rendering the title of one of the Beatles' greatest works nonsensical and not making any actual sense as a statement...

Leaving the state mañana but I really will get that moichandize to you sometime within the next decade little while and play with those Web-based options or just go to visit my friendly neighborhood mailperson. Things are coming to a head here, which is a mixed blessing...

Congratulations on the download!

My so-called friends stopped being friendly
Oh, but you can't keep a good man down

So there's no apparent reason for this utterance but, hey, you started it...

Oh, yeah...indispensible X-rated version of the afore-referenced "Stranger" song is on the CD set that I wanted most to send you and that I'm going to pick up when out of state. :-)

It's been stripped and cleaned, before everyone's eyes.
Things are coming to a head you say? OK, I can dig that, but did you find you face buried in a beav.... "Hot time in Florida...rainy night in Georgia" My boy My boy...
You do what you want my friend, but it would be great to hear from ya. Just remember..."Without a song, the day would never end."
I guess it's all about a little less conversation with ya. That's cool.

Well, I have to sleep sooner or later. I'm listening to "She's an earth quaking, hip shaking, soul breaking machine". Why E didn't like that is beyond me.

13. I like that one, too
Rough stuff. I like the infernally catchy "You Gotta Stop" (love that guitar) and "I'll Take Love" from the same sessions, and have always had a huge soft spot for the title track from that film.

The alternate masters of "The Love Machine" (totally different arrangements) are way better than the pretty poor original release, too, approaching the status of being a pretty decent song.

Then there's "Yoga Is As Yoga Does." :-)

15. Mine did, too
Got most of it in good quality, though. I thought the 'stuttering' was kind of a ballad-rap motif...something a little different.

Good stuff, anyway.
