years ago i loved watching war movies...now, i can't stand any war movies.

even the ones i used to like i have to turn off, or move on to something else on the television.

these days, my movies menu on the television channels is more like, YOU HAVE MAIL-meg ryan&Tom Hanks; SISTER ACT-whoopi goldberg and the rest of the cast;BLUE HAWAII-Elvis Presley and the rest of the cast.

These days i know that war is not the movies, that the movies idealized war, and that idealization of war leads to stupid, brainless morans, waging profit wars from the white house.
