Poll question: Why is this woman smiling? (a vanity/rant thread)

Here's a newly-scanned photo of yours truly. I want to add it to the rasser frasser Demopedia gallery, but DAMMIT! I can't get logged in because there's registry page -- even though the login page says there is one, I can't find it. No one's replied to the thread I posted about this earlier, and since there's no ATA forum anymore -- and this is too minor to email the Admins about -- I'll just whine.

And show you all this photo (taken six years ago), the one I want to put up in the Gallery.

That's a good picture of you. You look natural, relaxed, and happy. I take horrible pictures because I always look tense. It's not that I'm always tense, it's just something about having my picture taken.

The hardest part is staying away from the cigarettes. The second hardest part is not stuffing my face to try to compensate for lack of smokes. The third hardest part is staying away from the booze. The fourth hardest part is staying away from gambling.

If I manage to quit all that stuff not only will I live longer, but I'll have more money too.

What made you decide to quit all three at once? So hard to drop even one.

20. My life is a mess

and it is due to doing those three things. I just wanted to stop the downward spiral that I was in immediately and start climbing out of the hole that I've got myself in. I might be a fool for trying to quit all of my bad habits at once, but if I succeed I will be a genius.

When I was in hospital last summer, I was wacked out on so many drugs I couldn't tell you what hour it was or where the hospital was located or even if I was inside of it....

But the PT person suggested I play my guitar....

It brought me back from the edge, remembering songs.....
