Which Senator or Representative frustrates you the most?
Edited on Sun Jul-24-05 11:33 PM by Wetzelbill
I'm not going to say a Republican, because they are how they are and you just can't change that. Among them, John McCain jerks my chain the most because he tries to pretend he's something he's not, but I'm not going with a Repub on this.

Most of the status quo Dems like Joes Biden and Lieberman are frustrating, but again, they are who they are and I take them with a grain of salt.

The Senator who frustrates me the most is my former home state of Montana's senior Senator Max Baucus. Man, he just makes me want to pull out my hair! Max used to be one of the most progressive voters in the Senate. He had a Wellstone like voting record. But, as MT grew more red and the Repubs more vicious, Max has folded into a very middle of the road, weak, centrist bureaucrat. He voted for the Prescription Drug benefit bill, he voted for the Bankruptcy bill. Fiascos both. He voted for the war, I believe. I just have little faith in Max to make any type of stand anymore, and this is after highly respecting the man my whole life. The one thing you can say about Baucus is that he's better than Conrad Burns. Which is sort of like saying a case of the clap is better than getting thrown into a vat of acid.

So yeah, Max Baucus, you frustrate me more than anybody. And, that is saying a lot.

1. Biden, Nelson, Feinstein, and Lieberman make me to ill to stand

Clinton, Obama, and Kerry just infuriate me.

Nationally I have decided I am an independant, I'll vote for dems locally, but nationally I am going to vote for the people that work the hardest to beat our evil regime.

But I love Dean and Clark, both have yet to let me down.

3. Dean and Clark are good men
I think Senators try to get too cute playing politics all the time. Maybe if Dean and Clark were in the Senate they might lose some of that strength, who knows? But, neither have folded yet, so I have to give them props for that. If anything they both had the guts to become what they are when they both could've backed off and reverted to the status quo.
