Just got back from the OB/GYN apointment.

We have a BABY APPOINTMENT!!!

Wednesday we go in for them to start getting her to dilate, we will stay the night of course. Thursday morning they start the inducing process.

20. Epidural

Speaking as someone who recently went through an induced labor...

Epidurals are our friend. If Ms. Underpands is reistant, support her, but have her consider my story:

I tried to go without it for four hours, grunting, heaving and sweating like a prizefighter, until a nurse reminded me that what I was experiencing was NOT what a woman with a naturally-occuring labor would be experiencing. So I welcomed the epidural, had a nice nap, and six hours later popped out our weeun.

The "Girlfriend" book says to say that to anyone and everyone as you enter the hospital. We decided on that from the get go.
