for a poem I wrote last week. His structure is so freakin' unbelievable. Really a true craftsman. Tennyson is a great craftsman too. Dylan Thomas, a few come to mind right off. Neruda is as great as any.

I think Neruda's words are so beautiful, one can forget just how skilled he is at technique. Just an all around master. :)

South and Central America have some great writers. My favorite is Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Love his stuff. "Love In The Time Of Cholera" is a forever great masterpiece. My favorite short story is from his novel "Strange Pilgrims" it is called "Sleeping Beauty And The Airplane." Awesome. I haven't ever gotten around to Isabel Allende. I want to badly though.

I do plan on getting into some more Neruda though. ASAP.

1. What are you wearing today? Right now - grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt with red sleeves...very comfy

2. What are you listening to (or what was the last thing you listened to?) Haven't really been listening to much music lately. I guess the last thing I listened to was Beethoven's 9th on the plane on the way back from Andy's funeral.

The latest Harry Potter 4. 6 inside (8 if you count 2 small handmirrors) and one over the front door to counteract the Arrow of Death pointing at us (Feng Shui) 5. I JUST became allergic to (we think) the woodchip in the garden, probably the artificial color/preservative, and then I was allergic to the antihistamines they gave me, and it got WORSE, I had hives on my hands and feet and in my nose and mouth and was brushing my teeth with Anbesol, it was so nasty, so they put me on steroids instead and I think it's getting better, but in the middle of it I developed a dust allergy while doing a massive warehouse cleaning project at work and had to go home and I threw up for a day and a half, it sucked. That, and I'm allergic to cheap jewelry. 6. At work, a calendar with roses. At home on the fridge, kitties. At home in the boudoir, castles. And with me at all times, my dayrunner. My LIFE is in that thing. 7. Yes and no. At work, pretty good. At home, depends. Craft stuff, yeah. Bills? No way. 8. 3. Third time the charm.
