Seriously though. This guy overcame testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain. He fought hard and has now broken the record. I think he should have his day. Whether or not it is "really" news, he deserves this moment. So I will celebrate with him. Woo hoo for Lance.

1. I find his story very uplifting, too.

Just about the only thing on the news that makes me feel good at all...

And unlike all the bad news, this story will fade in few days, while the war/pres/terrorism/bird flu/environmental degradation crap will be with us a lot longer.

They have since used his achievements to undermine the media's ability to broadcast "real" news.
