Toss in some collard greens and you're good to go.

I just ate some raw carrots and celery direct from the garden.
Didn't even wash the dirt off first. Now that's good eats.

13. did you try boiled peanuts... |
|
I just paid over $44 to get 5 lbs of ready to boil peanuts and 2 jars of green tomato relish sent to me from lee brothers peanuts (boiledpeanuts.com).
As a transplanted Floridian here in the wilds of Massachusetts, I need a southern food fix from time to time!

Do you just take some boiling water and throw peanuts into it? Shells on or off? And what exactly do boiled peanuts taste like, what's their consistency, etc?

You can probably google for some recipes. Fresh boiled peanuts are a little al dente. They get mushy as they age. Shells on. Boiled in brine if you want salted. Crab boil if you want spicy Cajun.

But, no on the peanuts. I don't do peanuts. But I did see people with their carts yelling out "boiled Peanuts".
I am in CA and rite now I am trying to get pizza from chicago. Wish me luck.
Enjoy your p-nuts.:hi:

19. I hate all nuts just about. I don't like peanuts at all. That |
|
is unless they are boiled. They don't even taste like peanuts. They are so good. Other than that, you will never catch me eating peanuts.

22. My husband likes pnuts |
|
and so does my dog. I have to ask them both not to kiss me while eatting peanuts. I don't like the way they smell. I like them on my banana split and that is the only time I eat them.

and I won't eat it. But a lot of Cajun's love it. It reminds me of "Waterboy" when his girlfriend goes to his house to eat.

Cooks okra all the time. Pickles it too. I've never eaten the pickled stuff. At this minute I have some of her pickled peaches in the pantry. Afraid to try them. Anybody ever eaten them?
