2. My kids are always telling me to turn the stereo down
I tell them, "if it's too loud, you're too young."

I can't convince them to like rap music, either. Kids these days.

4. No, you're just sensible enough to
avoid damage to your hearing.

I used to wear ear plugs to dances when I was 18.

5. It isn't that things weren't too loud when I was younger
it's just that so many more things are too loud now.

6. It means the damn crap is too loud!!!
Especially commercial interruptions. The decibel level goes up at least two to three fold when it shifts from programming.

7. Absolutely.
Nothing worse than some bitty that complains about loud music and calls the cops in the daytime. After midnight I understand but if someone is having a party or the sun is out, suck it up.

8. Bull.
If I can hear someone else's music through my walls and doors, it's too goddamn loud.

10. I'll be cranking up "Kashmir" when I'm 80, grid willing
But my problem is that a lot of what's being played too loud is crap and turning the volume up doesn't make it any better (I'm not talking about anything YOU like, of course).
John
Old crank

And they should pull their goddamned pants up, too, while they're at it.
