How do you handle brown nosers?

We have a person in our office that pretends like it is one of the bosses birthdays almost everyday of the week. If its not a boss its someone that can do something for her. The lady bakes a cake, puts up balloons and celebrates that one person all day long and sometimes it lasts a week. The odd part about it is its not their birthday, anniversary or any special day. She just wants to kiss their ass and she wants the rest of us to go along with it. Yesterday she asked me to kick into a fund for a worker and I refused. She called me a partypooper. I thought that I was at work and not at a party.

How do you handle kiss ass brown nosers?

If taking food orders at lunch time is work then I guess she does work.

She helped me with a project one time and took the credit for it. But, I didn't feel like she singled me out because she does the same thing to everyone except to the people that she has these crazy party days for.

the thing is he says shit about the boss behind his back but then has his nose so far up his ass any other time. I handle it by not saying shit to him about work because he repeats everything. Occasionally i'll make a comment about it like yesterday, i got a snickers out of the vending machine and it was a bit melted. After i ate it i had melted chocolate on my fingers and someone passed by and asked what it was. I told them that i had just wiped off ---- nose.

people like that aren't worth bothering with, but you have one in every company. Or two, or ten.

refuse and they usually fail on their own.

10. Thing is, the people who do it well

aren't that obvious about it. They come to work doing cartwheels, never in a bad mood around superiors. Only when they have subordinates to pass the buck to is there hell to pay. First and foremost, there's never any public questioning of company policy, not even with a gun to their head.

We have a boss thats leaving on friday. He isn't leaving on his own accord either. Got any ideas on what to bring for a downsizing-firing. He is a freeper that blames Clinton for everything from A to Z. A few times I have come close to hitting him with a newspaper but I backed down instead. I should have hit him with the paper and said that I was trying to kill a fly.
