Am I overreacting or are people just morans?
My daughter is going to an art class at her elementary school for two weeks from 10-12. There is a loop in the front of the school which is used to drop off/pick up kids during the school year. It is very clearly marked Student Drop off/Pick up.

Why, oh why do these damned fool mothers have to get out and stand next to their cars until little Johnny goes inside?

And, at pickup the same thing. They are getting out to 'help' their children into the cars. Nevermind that the teachers are already doing so and most of these morans have vans with automatic doors.

I finally yelled at one dumb asshat today. I rolled down my window and said "maybe you should be going to summer school with your kid, because you sure can't read"

People who knew me who were in the line were cheering. And, the best part....she had a W stands for woman on her van.

Yeah, me.

1. How old are the kids?
Sounds a bit like overreacting to me...

3. At least 6. They have to be going into first grade.
and I disagree. If the sign says pick up/drop off, why do you need to get out? There are adult staff available to help your child. All it does is hold up the line.

5. I agree with you
on the other hand, I don't think it's such a big deal that you should be screaming at other parents in front of all the 6 year olds. Just my opinion...

8. And a valid one, but here's the deal
Because these idiots were not coooperating with the policy, people were letting their kids out in the parking lot so that they could get into class on time. Additionally, the line was so backed up, it was in the street blocking traffic.

I will yell at anyone on this planet whose actions potentially place a child in jeopardy and I don't care who it is in front of. I didn't use any profanity, but I think I got the message across.

12. Well, that does suck

4. I vote for people are Morans
Its the same at the grocery store and everywhere else where people park in the fire lanes. That drives me crazy.

Double parking when there is a spot 10 feet down the street...

I could go on. It's just lazyness.

6. You know - this crap is done everywhere
I still don't understand why some of these assholes double park along the streets when if they drove 10 feet ahead/behind they could have safely parked along the curve

I have never believed in the death penalty but sometimes there are exceptions to the rule

9. Sorta reminds me of that scene from "Mr. Mom"
When Michael Keaton (Jack) drops his kids off at school one day and everyone is honking and yelling "you're doing it wrong!".

10. Someone did drive in the loop the wrong way yesterday
and all I could think of was 'south to drop off, north to pick up'.

The scary thing is, that these loops are really well marked to prevent situations like this, but people are going to do what they want to, I guess.

14. The Dubya sticker was enough justification for public humiliation.

But being an ignoramus roadhog really topped it off.
