What do I do about this...
My company has a policy that on the anniversary of your hire, you have a performance review. Typically, a longevity raise is assessed and awarded at that time.

Over the past year, I've been promoted twice with no commensurate increase in compensation. I've formally asked for a raise, without due consideration given to that request.

So, here I am and my anniversary has passed by two months. I have repeatedly asked my rater to have this performance review. The latest response I have been given is, quote (all except the Squatch part):

"Nothing to review yet, Squatch. I'll call you when I'm ready."

I feel as if his responses have been dismissive and aloof. This delay represents money I am not getting paid.

Any ideas of what should I do, without burning bridges?

1. Tell him what you think without getting angry
Just state your case plainly and ask if your perception of this policy is wrong or if it has changed. Tell them it represents money and you would not be a good employee if you weren't concerned about compensation issues.

2. Contact HR and confirm the company's policy
And then ask them to remind your rater that you are due a performance evaluation.

3. Very gently say, or even better send a memo or e-mail saying,
"The time for my review has long since passed. If there is a problem with you gleaning documentation of my performance, I'd be happy to provide you with some or go to the administration or your supervisor. I'm only inquiring because I am really wanting some feedback in order to discern how and if my job performance can be improved. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter. Sincerely. . ."

Wait a couple days. See if anything happens. Then forward the e-mail to the administration or supervisor attached to a query.

Just a guess.

4. Company policies are never written with employees in mind.
It's always an unequal arrangement.

6. That's exactly what I am going to do. I will give him until
the 6th of August, which is exactly 2 months since my anniversary. I will then bump it up to the VP in charge of this division.

This is bullshit. I am a professional who's spent many hours, including my opwn personal time, developing this product. I want to be recognized for that.
