Pipe dream: a cell phone that doesn't break before your contract's up.
Someday, maybe, in the distant future when we all tool around in hovercrafts, it'll happen.

:grr:

8. Did with Nokia - only time one ever broke
was when I dropped it into a gigantic mud-puddling during the middle of a major storm. Even then it dried out and almost worked except 1 key. But since I had the phone for 2 years figured it was time for a new one

5. The Motorola StarTac. Best phone ever made.
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 12:32 PM by brainshrub
They are so durable and stylish that they had to stop making them. (How can you sell new phones if the old ones have the half-life of uranium.) It is the most perfect cell-phone ever made.

I've had mine since 2000. They are easy to fix and the accessories are inexpensive.

The StarTac doesn't take pictures, double as a flash-light, play annoying songs or make a good sex toy. What is does do is absolutely incredible: YOU CAN MAKE AND RECEIVE CALLS! *gasp*

Go on ebay and buy one. You won't regret it.

6. I second the vote for the Star-Tac
Sadly, my provider no longer supports them. I loved mine.

I now have a Motorola V-710. I've never had a problem with a Motorola phone (my LG was awful)

9. I'm trying to manage until September with a phone that's dying
The screen keeps getting scrambled and the buttons don't work half the time.
