Ever notice that the only people who ever want these things created are near the top.

1. Actually, state regulations require that my company keep updated org |

But I've known people to actually spend their own time - not for official or reporting purposes - lovingly creating charts for their division or department, etc., and really getting into it; really caring!

...I got a small tickle of satisfaction the first time I saw my name on one. I thought it was nice of them to include the janitors.

but peon would imply that I actually do some work - and I'll have to admit that I have a sinecure. As long as I show up here, I can pretty much get away with about 5 hours of work per month. At least I stay well informed by surfing the internets all day.

8. I've always loved organizational charts! |
|
And family trees, the Periodic Table...maybe my mind just works that way. It's just so nice to see everyone (everything?) fit neatly into place. And I'm about as far from being a "big shot" as it's possible to get.

and the Periodic Table of the elements. So I'm not completely anti-organization.
Flow charts are a mixed bag. I only like flow charts if they relate to something completely objective, like a computer program. I HATE when someone tries to shoehorn something into a flow chart that cannot be analyzed in such a way. Like, "How do you spend your Sundays".
