Do you find that you are expessing yourself online more than IRL?
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 07:52 PM by Bok_Tukalo
Do you move through The World like an automoton and save all your good stuff for The Web?

Have you even become slightly exhibitionist and try to share what should be private emotional conversations it a public forum?

Just asking.

Other than that, it's pretty much the same.

2. Not even slightly.
People who know me well will grant that I'm not exactly an open book. The online community has only a vague notion of my thoughts, actions, emotional life and doings.

5. Yeah
I think I have. Interesting thought. I wonder how the internet has changed people too. We're more knowlegable, probably more subduded in public, probably changed us in alot of ways for better or worse

10. I have grown a lot more outspoken IRL since my experience here.
And I've met a lot more people than I would have if I'd never logged onto this website.

but the same. Also, IRL I tend to not use smilies. Esp. not the "bounce" smilie.

You are much more open in person and much more expressive and interesting on a one to one level. Your text can never match your voice.

Just curious as to the level of involvement from those who use the Internet for socialization and whether or not they have found themselves puting The World into this context; seeing something and thinking about how they will relate it here (or on another forum) instead of face to face with another individual.

That sort of thing, Prog.

13. it certainly depends upon the requester...
i post far more on professional/career based sites & there is little opportunity to break with decorum lest 'networking' become impinged, or impacted upon in a ways unforeseen through pie-eyes; perhaps good advise all around = sadly, or perhaps more realistically speaking, it is not always 'a gum drop sky' off, or: online wuba-wuba

;)

25. i'll spill 'the beans' a little bit, a few beans as it were...
Edited on Tue Jul-26-05 08:49 PM by bridgit
i'm born & raised in cali but this guy is a trip to hang with, i'd never done it before, never even thought about it, but i asked, "what we doing now?" he smiles & says, "i know just what. we'll go 'stand on the horn'"

you could hear it from all over the city, the vibration of the traffic a given, but the atmospherics of the fog horn rumbling the bottoms of my feet as it sounded was a singular experience i'd never had = too cool, snapped those pics, tripped on the various moments, talked about you & your happiness, the happiness of our friends, their drama they could have avoided were they have been moving in smaller, more elegant circles; and then off: http://www.sfbrewing.com

clean undies, jeans, shorts & tees (and an extra helmet for Sugar if N.C. requires one)... what more could I ask for.

The only thing I need to do is plot a course that doesn't include I 81 through Wilkes-Berry, Pa.

It's not a perfect world ... as you know, there are one or two things I can think of that would make my world a bit smilier ~ having said that everything else is pretty damn good!

BTW let me know when you're traveling in August & please drop into a motorcycle shop, try on a few helmets to find out the correct size for me to bring along for you to wear

Online you can find others to talk about subjects that interest you a great deal. You can't always do that IRL.
