5. Depends on if that code was more than just your SSID

The SSID is the name of your wireless network.

WEP is the encryption that you can turn on to secure your network. If someone does not have your WEP code, they cannot freeload off of your wireless DSL.

You can also tell your wireless hub to not broadcast the SSID also. That keeps anyone from even seeing you have a wireless network...

But I will state that I hope you have a better experience with DSL than I have had. Once I switch back to cable in September, I hope to never have to deal with DSL again.
