What's a good easy-to-use digital camera?
A friend of mine, who doesn't read English very well, is moving back to his home country (Morocco), and I want to get him a digital camera (for around $200) as a going away gift. Does anyone know of a digital camera that's easy to use and takes good pictures? Thanks.

1. Try here:
www.dpreview.com

Possibly the most comprehensive digital photography site on the planet.

2. I love my hp, but it's 5.3 megapixels. Hard to find for $200,
even though I got it at a great price. Get the most megapixels you can for your money. One other thing, the only thing I don't like about my digital camera is the delay, which is about two seconds. If I were doing it over, I would get one that doesn't have the delay.

3. I'm very taken with my Camedia
but I'm not sure about the not reading English very well part. I suspect that that may be a problem with all of them. Anyway, Olympus Camedia D520 Zoom, 2.0 megapixels. As it's a couple of years old, you could probably find something more up to date for your price. I bought this through uBid, which I also recommend.

8. Here's a possibility, and at a good price
http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=olympus_d580

Adorama is an okay dealer, not the best, but far from being the worst.

This is a decent camera at a great price. Not perfect, but at the price, it's well worth it.

12. You should also pay attention to memory card prices,
since you will need more memory than what they come with. IMHO, get a 512MB card - it will make life much easier. I think XD cards are the cheapest right now.

13. Don't forget the printer!
Honestly, a digital camera is of less value without one.
