2. It's still fairly light here, I am seeing some lightning.
By "light" I don't mean bright sun, I mean overcase and dreary, but not yet pitch black :).

4. It's raining here
but it just went from real fast and heavy to regular. There was a HUGE thunderclap about ten minutes ago. But I'm west of you in Worcester anyhow, so it's coming your way.

8. Weather Channel just said Worcester might get some hail out of this
storm.

Yipes. Hail in July? Is the movie "Day After Tomorrow" coming true? When do the superstorms start forming?

5. I don't like thunder. I am one of
those backasswards people who is afraid of thunder, but not necessarily lightning. Right now, I would be happy for a little thunder though. It's 101 degrees Fahrenheit, but according to my heat index, it feels like 101 celsius here in my neck of the woods in NC today. And it is so sticky and I'm hurting from plugging my modem into the phone jack to go online. I think I pulled one of my muscles that was cut during surgery. Glad my gall bladder is gone though. I can eat anything I want to eat again. Yippeee!

I think that may be post may get the award for most topics covered in 3 lines I've ever read on DU :).

Thunder - lightning - tmperature - pain from plugging in phone line - muscle cut during surgery - gall bladder - food - yippee!

LMAO . . . talk about covering some ground in one short paragraph :).

9. LOL, Yeah, what can I say?
I'm good at it. I'm like that kid from the Family Circus cartoon who has these lines showing where he's been in the last 10 minutes. My mind works that way... :D

13. Oh, I know. I'm just looking for as much humor
as possible right now. I gotta go cook soon and even though I'll only be reheating leftovers, I'll still have to take it out of the pan and put it on the plates. I'm hurting. I need to laugh so I can get my exercise. I wouldn't dream of actually getting off my butt and exercising, so I'm looking for humor any way I can get it. :D :pals:

16. Away out here, we got a name for rain and wind and fire.
The rain is Tess, the fire is Joe, and they call the wind Maria.
http://www.lyricscafe.com/k/kingston_trio/they_call_the_wind_maria.html

We call the lightning Melvin.
Sometimes just "Mel".
