I got chocolate ice cream in my cell phone charger

I bought a drumstick (ice cream treat) yesterday. I put the wrapper in my garbage bag (in my car.)

Today, I went to plug in my phone, and the end was covered in ice cream. I can only assume that it must have fallen into the bag and made contact.

I took it to one cell phone shop and they said it was toast - no way to clean it. 'The chargers are no longer in stock, did I want to get a new phone?'

Another place said to rinse it off and let it dry really well.

9. Well, for what it's worth, I've dropped my cell phone in salsa before...

It's the kind with the open battery jack and it got totally soaked in the salsa. I wiped it off and let it dry and it's never given me troubles. I think you should just wait it out a few hours and then try it out.
