After Governor Sinatra (D-NV) won a surprising upset victory at the 1968 Democratic convention, the nation was eager for new, vital leadership. His 1969 inaugural address inspired the nation--hard hats and hippies, segregationists and freedom marchers, panthers and klansmen, old and young--to pull together and solve our problems as one people.

With his immortal words, "Ring-a-ding-doo, baby, Who loves ya?" President Sinatra began a new century of hope for America.
