the best server for me is washington DC....my best results:

Download Speed: 6157 kbps (769.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 714 kbps (89.3 KB/sec transfer rate)


love the speedometer interface.

i really am getting the 6mbps speed comcast advertises...for $42.99 not bad for for that kind of speed, i can bump up to their 8mbps speed for $10 more.

1. There should be a law for people like you
The law should state that you're not allowed to have a faster internet connection than the rest of us.

19. The upload speed stayed about the same on all the servers.
But the download varied from 4000sh to 10000ish. :shrug: Must be my computer.:shrug:

186,000 miles per second/coeficient of glass or copper - combined processing delay...


As for RATE, I am at about 3 megs down, 256k up Comcast cable. (thought I didn't use the utlity to check)

... which is bone slow compared to some of the speeds I'm seeing here.

But all of us slow-speed users take heart. Unless you are doing multiple simultaneous downloads, it don't matter. Because if you look you will find that almost no server of content goes faster than about 350.
